By Ryan Murphy in Ryan Murphys Opinion On

Every now and then I come across a blog post on this subject. A gay writer getting pissed, or confused as to why same sex pda’s (public displays of affection) can get them in trouble, or affected in any number of negative ways.

They just don’t understand why us straight people wont let them be.

I went over the topic of homo behavior in this article.

The basic premise here is that no matter how natural homosexuality might be, it is still not normal. Only about 10-15% (don’t quote me on that, I came across that number somewhere and I think it’s too high. I think it’s likely less than 5% ) of the population has ever had any homosexual experiences, and many of those people are bi-sexual.

To someone that is repulsed by homosexual behavior, which is most people, same sex public displays of affection are no different than a guy walking down the street in a full gimp suit, with ball gag, being whipped by his dom.

I don’t care who you fuck in private. Or how you like to fuck for that matter (as long as it’s consensual) Just keep it private.

Not every TV show has to have a lesbian or Homo on it. I am a fan of the show Bones. On the show two characters Hodges and Angela, started developing a relationship near the end of season one. It budded in season 2, and progressed through season 3.

Suddenly in season 4 their engagement is called off after one argument. Only a few episodes later Angela is suddenly bi-sexual and starts a relationship with another women. Despite at least two previous occurrences of behavior suggesting slight homophobia. I have recently been watching the series from DvD, a few episodes a night, sorta puts new perspective on it.

Apparently a romance that held side story line status for nearly the whole series ended just so they can put a lesbian relationship into the show.

Who would like to bet they did it because of complaints of some sort from the queers?

I don’t care what the fags want. They are a minority. One based on a sexual fetish, mental problem or genetic defect causing a miss-wired brain.

Again. I really could care less about what you do at home. That’s your deal, your life. When you put it on display, then it becomes everyone’s deal, everyone’s life. If they want TV shows that cater to them, let one of them come up with a queer cable/sat channel just like every other special interest group.

Queers need to stop acting like they aren’t different. This is an issue that transcends nationality, color and creed. The act of mating is one of the most fundamental drives all animals have, including humans. Homosexuality is against that drive.

It’s like seeing a person with anorexia that has given up eating, or someone doing something incredibly dangerous who has set aside survival instinct.

It’s disturbing to most people at some level.

People don’t understand why I am anti-social. The need to be part of groups, and cliques and things is also part of what it is to be human. Non-social types are also given a hard time.

Queers need to understand that when you defy something as basic to what it is to be alive as the desire to mate, people are not going to view you in a positive light.

Weekly Sermon Jan 13

January 13, 2010
By Ryan Murphy in The Nameless Religion

On this holy day I have come to speak to you on the first commandment and principle of the Nameless Religion.
Do what thou Will, Shall be the whole of the law.

Oh brothers and sisters, do not recoil from the implications. Revel in the freedom!
This is no Juvenal call to actions without thought, but a call to a higher state of mind!
For what is the place of guilt in our minds? To tell us what is wrong. But who has the right to tell a true individual what is wrong? NO ONE! Only that person them self can dictate what is right and wrong in their own hearts.
Blindly obeying rules one does not believe in is blasphemy!

Now, I am not asking you to go commit crimes just because you don’t agree with the law. I am saying you should work against unjust laws, fight the man, but it only works if you do it on his terms.
But, Oh my brothers and sisters, there is a far more insidious source of imprisoning guilt. Religion!
Religion thrives on guilt. It’s very foundation is built on guilt!
Seek out these guilts inside and examine them. Do they feel right to you? Do things that make you feel good, also make you feel dirty for no reason?
This is the insidious nature of religion. Even long after one has excommunicated their church, the claws of it’s guilt cling.
Look inside and rend these guilts asunder, for to be at peace with who we are, we must be at peace with what we do.

Do what thou will, shall be the whole of the law.
But not if it takes away the right of another to do the same!
Murder, Child Abuse, Rape.
These are not the actions of enlightened creatures!

In the seeking of true freedom of will and spirit the flesh is not to be ignored, least it’s desires become obsessions, or worse compulsions. All fantasies can be acquired via legal means, and in ways that harm NO ONE.
Murder can be subjective. Sometimes what is murder to one, is justice to another. Yet the question remains. Where do we draw the line?
Each must answer that question for them self if the times comes that they must. They must also acknowledge that the laws of society still hold sway over personal laws.

Do what thou will, shall be the whole of the law
Is a call to personal freedom, but not without personal responsibility.
It is meant to uplift, and give rise to a greater sense of self.
Seek out what you feel is right. But it is never your right to deny another theirs.

Remember, the philosophy of Anarchy is not lawlessness, but working towards a time when government and religion are no longer needed.
How-di-do-di…Ramen.
Don’t forget to eat your Holy Day Ramen everyone, and have a great day!

By Ryan Murphy in The Nameless Religion

Wednesday is from Wodnesdæg meaning the day of the God Woden. Or Odin.

As the leader of spirituality, Music, Wisdom and Poetry I will decry Wednesday as the Holy Day of The Nameless religion.
Feel free to ignore it, or change it.

Keeping with the fashion of asking for money for the religion on this holiest of days I ask you to be generous and donate some money to me…erm, to the cause.

The Nameless Religion

January 6, 2010
By Ryan Murphy in The Nameless Religion

I am starting a New Religion, and in keeping with the philosophy of that religion it has no set name. You can call it whatever you like.

I will start by giving you the 13 commandments and explaining them.

1.Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.
Taken from Crowley. Each person must decide for themselves what path in life to take. No one can tell you what is right and wrong, no one can define everything for you. Seek your own truth and become truly free.

2.Do unto others as others do unto you.
Taken from the Satanic Bible. Treat people as they treat you. Being nice to everyone is unnatural, and unhealthy.

3.Without an individual sense of Responsibility and Self-Control true freedom is an illusion.
Do what thou will is not a call to anarchy and unlawful action. It is a call to greater responsibility and the creation of one’s own laws. To harm a person who has not harmed you is taking away their right to seek their own path.
Be free, but do not let your freedom interfere with anyone.

4.Without a personal code of Honor life is pointless.
Hand in Hand with the third commandment. Along with responsibility and self-control we all need a code to adhere to. Without guidelines we stumble into compulsion and true depravity. You do not need to try and create your code in a day, in fact it should be something that evolves through your life.

5.Seek your dreams and never let anyone tell you, you can’t do it.
Without dreams we are lifeless shells without true desire or goals. Never let anyone take away your soul.

6.Imagine.

7.Reality is an illusion of perception, perception is an illusion of reality. Seek to set aside the illusions and perceive truth.
Within everything there are lies, and truths. The trick is in figuring out which is which.

8.Individuals are more precious than any group, yet a group of individuals is useless. Find the middle ground and stand there as rock.
A person who is part of a group with no sense of self is a tool, an individual is true person. Yet someone that cannot work within a group as a tool is useless to others and them self when the need arises for team work. Find a middle ground between being able to be part of a group, but not losing yourself in it, and never move from that position.

9.without pain there is nothing to compare joy, do not avoid pain, rather learn it’s lessons well.
Pain comes n many forms, but it always has a lesson to teach. Do not seek out pain, yet when it happens do not ignore what it is telling you.

10.The worse lies are the ones we tell ourselves, seek the truth of them and free yourself, hard and dirty a job as it might be.
Before a person can seek out truth, one must learn to see lies. The hardest lies to see are the ones we tell ourselves. Find the truth of your own lies, then you can seek out the truth around you.

11.Morality and Ethics vary from every continent to the others, from every country to it’s neighbors, from each state and province to those around it, from every county, from every city, and from each person to another. Accept no notion of right and wrong except what is defined by your own code.
Morality and Ethics are different everywhere, and for everyone. What offends one will make another laugh. What one sees as normal, another sees as vulgar. Only you can really know what is right and wrong in your heart.

12.Never forgive the atrocities done in the name of absent gods.
Religion is responsible  for most of the pain and suffering that takes place in the world. Perhaps only out stripped by greed. Never forget or forgive the pain and terror religion has caused.

13.Seek always wisdom and truth. No matter how painful it might be.
Even a painful truth is more desirable than a lie.

The Basic Ritual

January 6, 2010
By Ryan Murphy in High Magick Introduction

You will need: A dark room, preferably a basement and/or a safe place to work outside at night. Both are useful at different times.

For this ritual I am going to introduce you to the concept of elemental power.

You will also need a bowl of water, a candle, and some dirt if you are not in a basement. Your mouth can provide the air. If you want a symbol for Air to help you focus, a Chinese fan works well.

There are no circles in my style. If you feel a need to be protected, find someone else to learn from, this is not a style for punk bitches.

Sit the water and candle in front of you on the floor, light the candle and turn out the lights. It should be pitch black for best results. If you needed dirt, put it in something that feels less mundane than plastic or Styrofoam.

Sit however is most comfortable for you. Or you can lay on your back with the candle somewhere near your head (please be careful, we wouldn’t want you catching your hair on fire would we?).
It is easier to use the items for focusing if you can see them thou.

Start by building up your energy. I hope you will do the exercises form the earlier post before trying this.
It is also a good idea to have what you want in mind, but this can be done just for practice.

Once you have built up your energy, visualize it moving into the 4 elements.
If you are in a basement, send it out into the ground all around you. Then bring it back. It should have taken on a brownish hue, as you visualize it coming back. Thank the element for enhancing your energy.
Do the same with the Candle. Send it into the candle, then bring it back. This time it should be reddish. Thank the element, then move to Air. Either use a fan or other focus, or just breathe and allow the energy to circulate in and out a few times. Thank the element, and finish with water. Send it into the water, then bring it back. It should be slightly blue, or green. Thank the element.
Sometimes I add the Asian Element of wood and do the same process.

Once you have finished you should feel wonderful, and strong. You can use a memorized chant, a picture, a mental image, or anything else you feel will work (personalizing rituals to yourself is key to success), that is a symbol of the target of the ritual.
Send all the energy into the target. Say something along the lines of “Bring (target), bringing harm to no one”. This can be specific, or general. For example ‘me a million dollars’, ‘me my true love’(never a specific person, it never works the way you want), ‘me great fortune and luck in the year ahead’, etc.

If you are using a chant, make sure you remember to mention what you want, and to add that you don’t want anyone to be hurt to make it happen.

Repeat it several times as you are sending the energy into the target, be it an image in your mind, a chant on paper (keeping a mental or tangible object to focus on and send the energy to helps a lot), an actual picture or whatever.

Then, when you have placed all the energy into the object you need to visualize the astral plane. If the target object is a metal image, let it dissolve into the web of the astral. If it is a physical object, burn it (have something ready to put it in) and visualize the smoke moving into the astral.

As soon as it is gone. Get up, turn on the lights, do something very normal, and don’t think about that ritual again.

If you are practicing, just visualize the energy dissipating out of your head, taking all the negativity and fears, and ugly thoughts in there with it. Just like the first exercise I told you.

My First Dr Regeneration

January 2, 2010
By Ryan Murphy in Ryan Murphys Opinion On

For those who are not familiar with the Sci-Fi series Dr Who they came up with an ingenious way to continue the series when an actor wants to (or is forced to) leave.

When The Doctor is dying, he instead regenerates into a new version of himself. Same memories, different everything else.

My first Doctor was David Tennant. I have since watched some of the older episodes, but David has been my Doctor. A phrase used by fans for the actor that played their favorite version. Usually the one that brought them into the series, but not always.

I have seen a lot of bitching and moaning about the new guy Matt Smith. I will give him a chance. It is going to be weird getting used to a new Doctor, but there is something about the series that never fades, no matter what face bears the title. There is a reason it is the longest running Sci-Fi series ever.

I nearly weeped as The Doctor pleaded “I don’t want to go”. Echoing his many fans thoughts as he began to regenerate.

His regeneration this time was violent, and severely damaged the Tardis (his ship).

I then was able to crack a smile as the new Doctor began checking himself over (he has no concept of what he looks like till he can get to a mirror), even making a joke about the rumors that the next Doctor would be a girl (has been thrown around at least once already when the guy before David Tennant announced he was leaving) and his own (the actor’s) youth (he is the youngest to ever get the role).

So in the spring when everything is returning to life we will see the Doctor take on a new one.

Here is the trailer for the upcoming season. It promises to be interesting.

Give Peace A Chance

December 22, 2009
By Ryan Murphy in Ryan Murphys Opinion On

I would love to give peace a chance if I didn’t think most people would have to die to achieve any semblance of it.

For all of our toys, technology and triumphs we are still animals. Humans have a strange need to separate themselves from each other in ways other animals don’t. Perhaps the very fact we relate to each other in far more dimensions of thought than animals typically need to, means it is impossible for us to ever achieve true peace.

I honestly have given up on seeing any kind of peaceful world. I don’t think it will ever happen.

Some of us have a fierce drive to be individuals, but still feel lonely. I actually try to find ways to feel unique, while still trying to find ways to fit in.
While people like me that are actually fine with long periods of being alone are exceptions, most humans are still very much pack animals. Humans form into cliques. They find a leader, and follow that leader to whatever end they might lead them to.
All fads, political and religious affiliations, high school through formal wear groups, sports team or fighter-skater, whoever you route for, it’s all just ways we form ourselves into packs.
So what does it really mean?

We all have some need to feel unique. Yet most seek whatever ways to fit into at least one clique as we can, the need to belong to a pack. There is a need to find common ground with others, yet only to an extent, since once a person finds their pack, they tend to start focusing on ways others are different from that pack.

Where does this strange two-faced social hydra in our heads leave us?
I honestly don’t know.

Is peace possible?
I don’t know that either, but I will continue to hope for peace. Probably with a hand on a weapon and an eye on everyone, because as peaceful as I would like to be, I don’t trust anyone else to be anymore so than I.

John Lennon Quotes

December 22, 2009
By Ryan Murphy in Counter Cultured Quotes

“Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. … I think we’re being run by maniacs for maniacal ends and I think I’m liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That’s what’s insane about it.”

By Ryan Murphy in Uncategorized

“I’m sorry, but I don’t want to be an emperor. That’s not my business. I don’t want to rule or conquer anyone. I should like to help everyone if possible – Jew, Gentile – black man – white.

We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each other’s happiness – not by each other’s misery. We don’t want to hate and despise one another. In this world there’s room for everyone and the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone.

The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way. Greed has poisoned men’s souls – has barricaded the world with hate – has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical; our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.

The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in man – cries for universal brotherhood – for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world – millions of despairing men, women, and little children – victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people. To those who can hear me, I say: ‘Do not despair.’ The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed – the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish.

Soldiers! Don’t give yourselves to brutes – men who despise you and enslave you – who regiment your lives – tell you what to do – what to think and what to feel! Who drill you – diet you – treat you like cattle, use you as cannon fodder. Don’t give yourselves to these unnatural men – machine men with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are men! You have the love of humanity in your hearts. You don’t hate, only the unloved hate – the unloved and the unnatural!

Soldiers! Don’t fight for slavery! Fight for liberty! In the seventeenth chapter of St Luke, it is written the kingdom of God is within man not one man nor a group of men, but in all men! In you! You, the people, have the power – the power to create machines. The power to create happiness! You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful – to make this life a wonderful adventure. Then in the name of democracy – let us use that power – let us all unite. Let us fight for a new world – a decent world that will give men a chance to work – that will give youth a future and old age a security.

By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power. But they lie! They do not fulfill that promise. They never will! Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people. Now let us fight to fulfill that promise! Let us fight to free the world – to do away with national barriers – to do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. Let us fight for a world of reason – a world where science and progress will lead to all men’s happiness. Soldiers, in the name of democracy, let us unite!”
