Jesus and Christians

Did Jesus exist? There is actually no reliable evidence outside the bible to confirm this.

That is not what this article is about. Yehoshua, or Joshusa when translated into greek, then the common latin, then into the English form is Jesus. So his proper name name would have been Joshua in modern English.

It was a very common name during the period in question.

Christ, or Christos, a Greek translation of the Hebrew word commonly pronounced as messiah, was a title, not a name. It means anointed one, in reference to priests, and kings. Therefore any Priest, or king in high standing would have be given that title as an honorific. Similar to the common usage of m’lord or any of the other titles given to royalty over the centuries.

It is also likely a number of his other titles were given directly in an attempt to anger the Romans, as they used the same titles for their Emperors. Thus to give these titles to a Hebrew Peasant would have been seen as anything from a bad joke, to a grave insult, to high treason.

Therefore I do not dispute that a Jesus called Christ existed.

I dispute that there was ever a Jesus that performed miracles or was anything more than an idealist that was put to death for what he believed in.

The fact that no outside source mentions Jesus till well after his death would suggest he never did anything worth mentioning. Gossip travels, and somebody working real miracles would have been noticed. No one from his lifetime wrote anything about him.

The gospels are considered to not have been written till around 30 or more years till after his death, but since the oldest surviving papyrus do not date till anywhere from 70-200+ years after he would have died, that is also merely speculation.

I think there was a Priest and Teacher, perhaps also a healer named Jesus, that was held in high esteem by his peers. He was likely part of John the Baptists radical movement, and considered a threat to the Roman ruler-ship.

It is also likely he spoke against the uprising against Rome. Thus the story is simple.

He acquired a following which drew the attention of the Hebrew leaders, he was a charismatic man, and was viewed as a threat, his followers wanted him to lead a rebellion against Rome, he preached peace, and was betrayed for it.

I see a story of a man that wanted peace, and like so many others he was destroyed for it. I see no need for making him more than a man.

As for christians, I can’t stand you.

Your religion is based on accepting the shit life, and the upper classes, throw at you. Just accepting it and doing nothing about it. In fact the main things that drive people to seek greatness are sins. Pride, anger, greed, envy, all the things that makes a person want to have and be more than they are. It’s worthy of nothing but my supreme Contempt.

The Meek shall inherit the earth? Turn the other cheek? Where does that get anyone? No where!

Religion is a tool devised to keep the lower classes in their place!
It has only that one purpose. TO CONTROL PEOPLE!
To make you believe that this world holds nothing of value, so you will not strive for anything! So you wont care! So you wont strike down the rich, and powerful for hoarding what; by right of life, belongs to everyone!
To make people tolerate poverty, pain, injustice, and all the other cruelties the system of those above, stomping on those below ,creates!

OPEN YOUR EYES!
Why is pride such a huge sin?! BECAUSE IT LETS YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!
Why is wrath such a big Sin?! BECAUSE RAGE IS ONE OF THE MOST POTENT DRIVING FORCES A HUMAN CAN HAVE!

But then christians wont listen to me will you?
After all you can always just say I’m wrong because you believe I’m wrong.
You wont find out till you die if you’re right, and that is the biggest joke of all.
It is mighty convenient for the church and the rest of the rich and powerful that you can’t find out if they’re right or not till you’re dead, then it’s too late isn’t it.

Miiighty convenient…

Of course I don’t expect you to listen to me. I am doing this for your good, but you wont listen to me. You would rather settle into a life of mediocrity, and commonality. Rather die poor, and with the life crushed out of you so you can go to heaven. Something there has never been proof of, any more than Hades or Valhalla.

That’s what i’ve got on that topic, and I invite you to leave comments. Go ahead and say what you want, I wont erase any.
