Gay people are not a big deal.

Many, maybe even most other straight people would agree.

The thought I had was not this, it was who is really making a bigger deal out of being gay? Us… or them?

Now you might not understand what I mean by that, but lets take a moment to think on it.

Who is usually the instigator in straight vs gay battles? If you actually pay attention, most of the time it’s the gay person doing something to set off other people.

Now their remark is that people need to be more tolerant, because them being gay is no big deal.

But if your being gay is really no big deal then why do you feel a need to be so “in OUR face” about it?

For example, this situation with the lesbian girl wanting to go to the prom with her girlfriend. I guess if that’s what you want it shouldn’t be too big a deal, people will be too busy with their own action to care what you are doing. She  wants to go wearing a tux… now that, is a big deal. Why? I hear you ask. Simple. Going in a tux it’s no longer about going to a dance with someone you like, it’s about making a statement, about getting people’s attention. Attention many people don’t want to give you. You are trying to force a reaction out of people, and unless you are a performer of some sort, there is no reason to do that.

The school board is catching all kinds of shit over it, and maybe to a degree they deserve it, but why does no one have the balls to say anything against the girl?

Well I do, and here I go.

Wearing a tux is a choice. A choice she knew would cause problems, if she really didn’t think anyone would notice, she is an idiot. There is no reason for her to want to wear a tux in the first place other than making that aforementioned statement. The comeback “it’s just clothes” gets tossed around a lot, but people forget that the phrase goes both ways, bi-sexual pun not intended. Yes, they are just clothes, so why is it such a big deal to her?

Let’s just go ahead a say it. Queers that act  like that are fucking annoying.
Not all do, many gay people are relaxed, easy going and chill. I have no issue with them. They keep their private lives private. That’s the way it should be, for everyone.

I’m talking about the dykes that dress up like guys and try to strut around like they have a dick. The fags that prance around and talk like valley girls. They end up looking and acting like strange cartoon characters. Over the top, goofy, fake.

I honestly could care less about what gay people do in the privacy of their homes, just as long as they leave it there. I don’t make a big deal out of them. I don’t want to deal with them at all. Many feel the same way I do.

So who is really making the bigger deal out of you being gay? Those of us that just want you to keep it to yourselves, or you?

They just don’t understand why us straight people wont let them be.

The basic premise here is that no matter how natural homosexuality might be, it is still not normal. Only about 10-15% (don’t quote me on that, I came across that number somewhere and I think it’s too high. I think it’s likely less than 5% ) of the population has ever had any homosexual experiences, and many of those people are bi-sexual.

To someone that is repulsed by homosexual behavior, which is most people, same sex public displays of affection are no different than a guy walking down the street in a full gimp suit, with ball gag, being whipped by his dom.

I don’t care who you fuck in private. Or how you like to fuck for that matter (as long as it’s consensual) Just keep it private.

Not every TV show has to have a lesbian or Homo on it. I am a fan of the show Bones. On the show two characters Hodges and Angela, started developing a relationship near the end of season one. It budded in season 2, and progressed through season 3.

Suddenly in season 4 their engagement is called off after one argument. Only a few episodes later Angela is suddenly bi-sexual and starts a relationship with another women. Despite at least two previous occurrences of behavior suggesting slight homophobia. I have recently been watching the series from DvD, a few episodes a night, sorta puts new perspective on it.

Apparently a romance that held side story line status for nearly the whole series ended just so they can put a lesbian relationship into the show.

Who would like to bet they did it because of complaints of some sort from the queers?

I don’t care what the fags want. They are a minority. One based on a sexual fetish, mental problem or genetic defect causing a miss-wired brain.

Again. I really could care less about what you do at home. That’s your deal, your life. When you put it on display, then it becomes everyone’s deal, everyone’s life. If they want TV shows that cater to them, let one of them come up with a queer cable/sat channel just like every other special interest group.

Queers need to stop acting like they aren’t different. This is an issue that transcends nationality, color and creed. The act of mating is one of the most fundamental drives all animals have, including humans. Homosexuality is against that drive.

It’s like seeing a person with anorexia that has given up eating, or someone doing something incredibly dangerous who has set aside survival instinct.

It’s disturbing to most people at some level.

People don’t understand why I am anti-social. The need to be part of groups, and cliques and things is also part of what it is to be human. Non-social types are also given a hard time.

Queers need to understand that when you defy something as basic to what it is to be alive as the desire to mate, people are not going to view you in a positive light.
